My band Haywire entered the BandQuest in August. 
It was great playing with other bands from schools in Auckland central! We got 3rd place overall and Matthew won Best Guitarist too! 

Our band’s name is “HAYWIRE” and the members are:
Jackson Boswell, Claudia Butler, Sam Tebutt, Matthew McFadden

The band entered the Band Slam competition in Hamilton on Friday 4 August. We finished the competition at 10:30pm we got really good results. It was really cool seeing all the other bands with a lot of different styles. We could see what worked well and what didn’t.

Matthew won Best Guitarist, Jackson won Best Drummer and...we won the competition!!!

We were able to score $250 which we believe should go to our music department.
It was a great night and everyone enjoyed it!
